Stuck Like Glue

Every little girl has their favorite song, every time Claire hears "Sugarland's Stuck Like Glue" she gets super excited and says "that my song, that my song". A typical Sunday morning includes CMT being on as we are getting dressed for church...yesterday morning was no different, Claire got out of the bath and heard her song playing and took off to the living room...let's just say I had to put some panties on her so I could get a picture of her dancing!!! Shaking her booty!!

After "her song" was over she piled up all of her books on the table so she could read...I asked her to smile and this is what I got!!!....

Then, she showed me her teeth! Cute girl!

Funny story: Last night I was talking to Claire about giving her passy's to the babies...she has a couple of babies in the nursery she loves, one of them is Sophie, so we talked about her giving her "pap pap's" to Sophie and she could get a new toy...but she would never have her pap pap's again. In the beginning of the conversation she thought this was a good idea and she said "I give my pap pap to Sophie, get a new toy?. and I said "yes, you can pick out any toy you want if you give Sophie your pap pap's forever"... "and I never get it back" ..."no you never get it back"..."get a new toy"..."yes, you can pick any toy you want"..." I want a snake, I like snakes!!" WHAT??? I could not help but laugh..a snake really?..."I like snakes".and this is coming from a little girl that does like to go into a dark room by herself without reassurance that a snake, monster, or dinosaur is not going to get her...needless to say by the end of the night Sophie was not getting a new pap pap today.

Daily Life...

We might be potty trained but the passy is going to be a whole other issue. Love how she is lovin on her baby!
Look at those legs! She cracks me up! This little girl always has a book nearby!

Day at the Races

Opening day at Oaklawn Park 2011....quite the family fun time! Not the old school normal kind of a race day I think of but we knew Claire would LOVE the horses! And she sure did! I was afraid she would be the only child there but kids were everywhere! Nick has on the red shirt...they were watching the ponies come in.

It was pretty cold but we still made it outside to get a closer look.
Mimi and Pop Pop met us there...and of course Claire loves time with her grandparents!

Yelling for the horses!!!

Can't wait to take her again! Just hope next time we come home with some winnings!!!

Playing Towels

This is one of those "games" Claire plays that we have no idea where it came from.....she calls it playing towels. Basically, unload the drawer full of dish towels and spread them out perfectly around the floor. Sometimes it means stacking them all up in a neat pile.
Most of the time when it is time to pick up, all the towels get neatly folded and put back in the drawer...by Claire, no joke! Maybe a little OCD...hmmm, wonder where she could have gotten that from??!!

Also, I would like to introduce you to "Am Wade". Lately, Miss Independent wants to do everything herself, so this is what we get told..."Am going to do it" "Am feed myself" "Am going to put my shoes on" "Am going to watch Mickey Mouse"...get the picture. Of course, we try and correct her and say " I am". But now it is funny because we ask her name and she says "Am" and the best part is, is she knows it's a joke. "I not Am, I Claire"

Snow Day 2011

We take what we can get when it comes to snow in South Arkansas...oh! how I wish we would have gotten the 5-10 inches that many of our friends got a mere hour away but maybe next time. Miss Claire is probably more of a beach bunny then a snow bunny. She liked eating the ice and got cold quickly. She could not quite understand why there was not a snowman...try explaining that one to a two year old....and of course, the snow we got was not snowman material. I did, however, get some precious shots of our growing little lady!

"Momma, Am going to eat all this ice!!!"

Me and my girl!

Christmas in the Ozarks

Like I said before I was not good at taking pictures this Christmas so I borrowed these from Emily's blog. My dad and Kathi just finished building a beautiful home in the Ozarks with breathtaking views. Mountains, rivers, and even a train that runs along it....God sure did paint some pretty pictures in Arkansas!

The following pictures of Claire and Josh make me laugh out loud!! She was being so silly and got Uncle Josh to play along...I think she surprised him with a kiss!!

Christmas 2010

Christmas morning at Nene's and Pepaw's Santa spread!
Look what Santa brought...excuse the bedhead!

Waking up and smiling

I forgot her stocking so a bag had to work but she didn't mind...it's always the little things that get the attention first.

What a look! I love it!

I had to get Claire a "name bench". Me and my sisters had them when we were kids....it's one of those things I have yet to part with.

She loves to help me clean, so she got her very own Dyson!

John Deere is finally getting some attention....she wasn't so sure about it at first.

Barney had to ride too!

Time to take it for a real spin!

Funny story: Later on in the day Claire was driving and cousin Gavin was in the back, she was driving around and around in circles. Then we realized she had fallen asleep while driving!!! I guess Christmas just wiped her out! Gavin had to wake her up.
Christmas at Mimi's & Pop Pop's

More cleaning supplies....YaY!

Can you tell who gets all the attention??!!

Silly girl!

Sweet girl!

Claire loves giving very tight hugs these days...not sure if Mimi is breathing here!
I am kicking myself for not taking more pictures this Christmas...so unlike me!
