Claire is 2!

Getting ready to go to school on her 2nd Birthday, October 7, 2010!!!
She wanted a picture riding her horse too!

Opening a birthday present on her actual birthday....a Tag, Jr. She loves it!

...but not as much as her playground!!!!

8:24pm exactly 2 years old

Claire managed to play with Tink and her tractor during her "exactly" 2 year old minute; which describes her to a tee! She loves Tinkerbelle and Tractors!

She got to pick what she wanted for dinner...her favorite Pizza!!! So off to Pizza Hut we went. She made a new little friend that night and they had a blast running wild, dancing, skipping...I normally would never let my child run wild in a restaurant but it was her birthday and she laughed and smiled the whole time Could Not Have Been Any Happier!!....and sometimes we are just suppose to stop and smell the roses! (I so wish I had pictures) Hope you had a wonderful 2nd Birthday baby girl!!!

The Big 2 year old party up next!

Last night as a One Year Old!

"Don't move" I hear Nick say while laughing..."Momma, bring the camera!!!" I round the corner and this is what I find...all we could do is laugh. Claire then told me that she needed some powder on her face too... ....notice she has on one of Nick's socks; she is big into socks these day. Have no idea why? Nick got the vacuum, I got the baby!

Next (after a PJ change) we made cupcakes to take to Claire's class for her birthday party with her friends at school....Tinkerbelle cupcakes that is...not that anyone should be surprised, Tink is our all time favorite!!!

Claire was admiring all her hard work and decided she just could not wait for school!

The blond curls have grown longer, your eyes still very blue

Another 365 days have passed by
So many firsts, so many laughs, so many cries
Smart, beautiful, lovable and so much more

Watching you swim and to learning float
From learning to walk, to run, to skip

Many minutes spent in time out, always followed by “I sorry” hug and a kiss
Growing pains I would never want to miss
Always a helper and Miss Independent, the true toddler you are
Riding “Hanny Manny” all around the yard
Mac mac cheese, mow cow, popcorn and sprite
Helping your little body to grow up right?
Twenty six pounds and thirty three inches tall
Seems like yesterday you just learned to crawl
Learning to go potty, brushing your teeth, washing your hands
To going mud ridin’ at deer camp and roaming our land
Tinkerbelle, playing blanks, towels, and spoons
Daddy “I see stars and moon”
A child of our Lord was confirmed this spring
You read your Bible every night and give praise to our King
For you, my dear; every day to come I pray for Health, Love, Hope, Joy…
….and of course your zoo, Dolly, and your many more toys
The conversations I have with you leave me amazed
What will the next 730 days bring…my mind wanders with a light fog & daze?
Memories are something we all try to grasp and hold on to,

Priceless Hours

This weekend was all about Claire. We did most of her favorite things to kick off her birthday week. With every thing going on with cousin Lilly, I needed some quality time with my Claire to forget about all the worries of adulthood. We started our weekend with donut holes at the local donut shop, followed by a trip to the library...... Claire reading to all these animals. They all had to be in those seats. She later lined them all up on the floor and sat down next to them to read. Simple happiness:)

We made our way to the $1 store where she picked out a Tinkerbell balloon....how I wish a balloon would make me that happy! Simple pleasures:)

Then a trip to Atwood's so she could see the baby chicks and bunny rabbits; then we went home and had a picnic under the beautiful blue sky and she played on her playground....Simple Joy:)

Sunday we went to church, then drove through McDonald's and off to the house for another picnic; later that afternoon we went to the local flower garden to see the "water fall" and enjoy to beautiful fall weather. Simple Beauty:)

Of course, Claire's weekend would not be complete without a trip to Dairy Queen for ice cream....followed by the playing with play dough; I forgot how much I loved this!!! Simple Innocence:)

We cuddled up and watched Tinkerbell and said our prayers. No worries....sometimes it is easier said than done, but just try and think like a child for a day....it just whisk your worries away! Just the Simple Priceless Hours!

County Fair

Just a few pictures from the county fair...life seems to be moving in the super fast lane these days and the blog does not get near enough of the "documented memories" as I would like but I guess its more important that I am actually making the memories than writing about them!

High Fashion???

Watch out fashion institute, class of 2027!!!

Claire has wore this purple tutu all weekend and even insisted on sleeping in on Saturday night. (pick my battles, right?) Her "new" thing is playing in my socks....so this is the outfit she came up with! The tutu served in two different capacities:) Too cute!
